Protection & Coverage FAQs

Learn about your included Total Trust Limited Warranty, extended protection options, and getting support from NTP.

What protection comes with my Taylor & Martin truck purchase?

Qualifying Taylor & Martin truck purchases include Total Trust Limited Warranty protection for eligible engine failures.

This initial protection provides up to 60 days or 20,000 miles of coverage, whichever occurs first, subject to warranty terms and eligibility.

For complete coverage details, exclusions, and requirements, visit the Taylor & Martin Total Trust Warranty Page ↗ .

Why should I consider protection beyond my included warranty?

Your included Limited Warranty provides valuable initial engine protection, but unexpected mechanical failures can happen throughout your vehicle's ownership.

NTP Preferred Coverage offers longer protection terms and additional component coverage options to help manage unexpected covered repair costs. It's an optional Vehicle Service Contract purchased separately from your included warranty.

How do I purchase extended protection for my truck?

Getting started is simple. Connect with an NTP Protection Specialist who can walk you through your available extended protection options.

Our team will help you:

  • Confirm your truck's eligibility.
  • Review available coverage terms and options.
  • Explore deductible choices and pricing.
  • Get a personalized quote and purchase coverage when you're ready.

You can speak directly with our team or request a callback using the options on this page. There's no obligation to purchase.

When should I explore extended protection, and is my truck eligible?

We recommend exploring your options soon after purchasing your truck so you understand what protection may be available.

NTP Preferred Coverage is designed for eligible heavy-duty Class 8 vehicles. Eligibility depends on factors such as model year, mileage, vehicle condition, and applicable program requirements.

An NTP Protection Specialist can confirm your available options, applicable purchase timing, and when coverage would begin. Extended protection does not automatically activate when your included Limited Warranty ends.

What extended protection terms and deductibles are available?

NTP Preferred Coverage offers four term options for eligible Class 8 trucks:

  • 6 months / 50,000 miles
  • 12 months / 100,000 miles
  • 18 months / 150,000 miles
  • 24 months / 200,000 miles

Available deductible options include $500, $1,000, $1,500, and $2,000.

Your Protection Specialist can help you compare available selections and pricing. Coverage periods, mileage limits, deductibles, and eligibility are governed by the applicable contract.

What does NTP Preferred Coverage protect?

NTP Preferred Coverage includes protection for specified engine and critical components, including eligible fuel system and turbocharger components.

Optional benefits may include:

  • Transmission and rear differential coverage
  • Aftertreatment system protection
  • Rental Truck Assistance
  • Rapid Repair Guarantee Plus®

Eligible towing reimbursement is also included. Optional coverages and benefits must be selected where available. Refer to your contract for covered components, exclusions, limitations, and applicable benefit amounts.

Where can I review my warranty or Vehicle Service Contract?

What should I do if my truck breaks down?

If your vehicle experiences a mechanical breakdown:

  1. Stop operating the vehicle safely. Continuing to drive could cause additional damage.
  2. Find a qualified repair facility. Use NTP's repair resources to help locate a facility.
  3. Provide your coverage information. Inform the facility that you have a Total Trust Limited Warranty or NTP Vehicle Service Contract.
  4. Contact NTP before repairs begin. Follow the claim reporting and authorization instructions in your agreement.
  5. Arrange for diagnosis. Work with the repair facility to identify the cause of the failure.

Important: Prior authorization from NTP is required before covered repairs begin. Repairs performed without authorization may not qualify for coverage.

Where can I take my truck for covered repairs?

NTP provides access to a nationwide repair network that includes Preferred Repair Providers (PRPs) and Certified Repair Facilities.

Preferred Repair Providers may offer advantages such as streamlined claims approvals and discounted repair pricing where applicable.

Other qualified repair facilities may also be available, subject to your agreement's requirements. Confirm the facility can participate in the NTP claims process before authorizing repairs.

How does the claims process work?

Once a claim is reported and the repair facility provides the required documentation, NTP reviews the reported failure against your applicable Limited Warranty or Vehicle Service Contract.

If the claim qualifies, NTP provides authorization according to the agreement. Processing times may vary depending on the diagnosis and information required.

You are responsible for any applicable deductible and charges not covered by your agreement.
