What should I know about my vehicle protection coverage?

Your Ryder Assurance protection depends on the Premium 2000 coverage selected when your contract was purchased. Your Vehicle Service Contract outlines the specific terms, covered components, limitations, and responsibilities that apply.

Here are several important areas to review:

  • Your Coverage Selection
Identifies the protection plan and coverage options purchased for your vehicle.
  • Agreement Period and Coverage Limits
Explains when coverage begins, when it ends, and the applicable limits of liability.
  • Covered Components
Details which mechanical components and systems are included under your selected coverage.
  • Exclusions and Maintenance Requirements
Explains conditions that are not covered and your responsibilities for maintaining the vehicle according to applicable manufacturer requirements.

Section names, coverage terms, and requirements may vary by agreement. Always refer to your specific Premium 2000 contract for the details that apply to your vehicle.

My truck has broken down. What should I do?

If your truck experiences a mechanical breakdown, follow these steps:

  1. Stop operating your vehicle safely. Move to a safe location when possible. Continuing to drive could cause additional damage.
  2. Locate a qualified repair facility. Use the Customer Claims Portal to access available repair facility resources.
  3. Confirm the facility can service your vehicle. Ask whether the facility can diagnose your truck and participate in the applicable claims process.
  4. Inform the repair facility about your protection. Let them know you purchased a Premium 2000 Vehicle Service Contract through Ryder Assurance.
  5. Report the claim before authorizing repairs. Contact the claims administrator or use the online portal for instructions on beginning the claims process.
  6. Arrange for diagnosis and inspection. Follow the claims administrator's instructions regarding diagnostic work, required documentation, and repair authorization.

Important: Obtain the required authorization from the claims administrator before covered repairs begin. Do not approve repairs without following the authorization requirements outlined in your contract.

How do I choose a repair facility for a covered repair?

Choosing a qualified repair facility is an important part of getting your truck back on the road. The available options may depend on your contract and the type of mechanical failure.

Repair Facility Resources

The Customer Claims Portal provides access to repair facility information that can help you identify available service options.

Before Scheduling Repairs

  • Confirm the facility is qualified to service your truck.
  • Explain that your truck is protected by a Premium 2000 Vehicle Service Contract.
  • Verify the facility can provide the documentation required for claims review.
  • Contact the claims administrator to confirm any applicable repair facility or prior authorization requirements.

Repair facility participation, available services, and claim requirements may vary. Refer to your contract and confirm requirements with the claims administrator.

I've filed a claim. What happens next?

Once the required claim information and repair documentation are submitted, the claims administrator reviews the reported failure to determine whether it qualifies for coverage under your Premium 2000 contract.

We understand that downtime can impact your business. Claims are reviewed based on the reported failure, applicable coverage, and supporting documentation. Processing times may vary depending on the complexity of the claim and the information required.

What happens when repairs are completed?

  • You may be responsible for an applicable deductible, as outlined in your contract.
  • Any charges not covered under your agreement remain your responsibility.
  • Deductible amounts, payment responsibilities, and other conditions are determined by the terms of your specific Vehicle Service Contract.
